It is often genetically predisposed. Gingivitis (inflammation of the gums), if not addressed, can eventually lead to periodontitis (a chronic periodontal disease that can progress to tooth loss).<\/p><p>It is essential to carry out <strong>periodontal therapy<\/strong> as soon as possible. This therapy includes <strong>detailed cleaning of tartar and polishing, scaling of tooth roots (curettage), as well as regular check-ups and maintenance (recall)<\/strong>.
