Preventive and pediatric dentistry encompasses procedures such as dental cleaning, sandblasting, sealing of permanent molars, tooth polishing, and fluoride treatment. We place special emphasis on prevention in children, which we consider very important. Healthy habits and regular dental visits are developed from a very young age.

Children can have their first examination as early as age 2, when they are more aware of their surroundings.

Our years of experience working with children, including those with special needs, have yielded very positive results for our youngest patients. We offer an individualized approach to acclimatizing children to dental check-ups and procedures without fear or trauma. The goal is to achieve trust in the child, who is then willing to cooperate playfully, under anesthesia, and without pain. Of course, there is always a reward for their bravery!

Pediatric dentistry also includes treating cavities in primary and permanent teeth with aesthetic fillings, identifying potential orthodontic anomalies, extracting primary teeth, and educating children on tooth brushing and maintaining oral hygiene.

We strongly recommend regular check-ups to help children develop the habit of visiting the dentist and associate it with routine. The most common mistake parents make is taking their child to the dentist only when they are in pain.

Children should have check-ups every 3-4 months.

Sealing permanent molars is a popular preventive procedure in which we apply a protective agent to the fissures (grooves) of the teeth (between the cusps – the most common site for cavities) to reduce the risk of cavity formation in children. The first and most common cavity typically occurs in the permanent first molar. Permanent molars are sealed, and premolars can also be sealed. Ideally, a tooth should be sealed as soon as the entire crown emerges.
